Our Façade and Sign Grant programs have awarded $20,000 to businesses in our district and have spurred more than $250,000 of private investment just in façade and sign renovations and changes. These improvements continue to bring a fresh, stylish look to the commercial corridor.

Facade & Sign Grants

Originally created as one program in 2002, the Design Committee voted in 2010 to separate the Façade Grant and Sign Grand programs. The main reason behind the decision was to further educate current and future business owners in the district about proper and modern signage and continue to bring a fresh, stylish look to the commercial corridor. To date, EEMS has awarded local businesses over $20,000 for renovations and improvements to their signs and façades. These funds have spurred more than $250,000 or private investment in façades and signs alone, and prompted more than $4 million of building rehabilitation.

Recipients of our Sign Grant program include: Little India, The Empty Glass, Main Kwong Chinese Restaurant, and Umami Sushi & Hibachi Grill.
