Through a partnership with the Kanawha Valley Historic and Preservation Society, West Virginia State University, and the Charleston Convention and Visitors Bureau, East End Main Street was instrumental in creating this 16-page full- color walking your guide that highlights the rich architecture and interesting history of Charleston’s oldest and most diverse neighborhood. With detailed descriptions and color photos, this is a real treat for residents and visitors who want to learn more about the architecture and history of the East End. The guide includes nearly 100 historic properties and provides various routes to cover the entire neighborhood and business district. Some highlights include stately homes of past Governors, unique multi-family dwellings, and commercial buildings. We’ve already distributed more than 20,000 of the guides and will soon reprint this precedent-setting publication with a newly-designed cover.
